As an account coordinator, Danny provides communication services and media outreach for DMGS. Danny’s background in journalism and media allows him to work with a diverse array of clients to develop and implement strategies that support sound government affairs advocacy at the local, state and federal level.
Prior to DMGS, Danny was an enlisted Marine from 2006-2010, serving as a combat correspondent. As an active duty service member, he operated throughout the Pacific region in several humanitarian operations. After an honorable discharge, he earned his bachelor’s degree in journalism from The Ohio State University. Upon graduating he worked as a reporter for The Youngstown Vindicator where he covered crime, as well as state and local government. He also served as an Associate Editor at Cincy Magazine in Cincinnati. Before coming to DMGS he worked in the AlliedBarton Security Services public relations department.
In July 2017 Danny completed a fellowship with The Mission Continues, a program that places Post-9/11 veterans in various nonprofits to support community improvement efforts. As part of his fellowship, Danny worked as an Outreach Coordinator for PublicSource, a nonprofit media entity dedicated to public service journalism.
Danny has a BA in journalism with a minor in international studies from The Ohio State University, and an MA in communication from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh.
